Scaling Markets: MSME Strategies for Local & Global Reach (MSME Day Programme)

FLO Kanpur organized “Scaling Markets: MSME Strategies for Local & Global Reach” on 29th June 2026 at the MSME Department Conference Hall to commemorate MSME Day and empower entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on business growth, government support, and export opportunities. The programme brought together FLO members, Self-Help Group (SHG) representatives, and officials from the MSME ecosystem to create a meaningful platform for learning, collaboration, and dialogue.

The session commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, followed by an address highlighting the pivotal role of MSMEs in driving economic development, employment generation, innovation, and women’s entrepreneurship. The programme was graced by Shri V.K. Verma, IEDS, Director, MSME DFO Kanpur & Agra, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the importance of government initiatives in strengthening MSMEs and encouraged entrepreneurs to actively utilize the various schemes and support mechanisms available to enhance their competitiveness and long-term sustainability.

The keynote sessions were delivered by Shri Amit Bajpayee, Assistant Director, MSME DFO Kanpur, and Shri Alok Srivastava, Assistant Director, FIEO Kanpur. Shri Bajpayee provided detailed insights into MSME registration, financial assistance, technology upgradation, quality certification, skill development, and other government initiatives designed to support enterprise growth. Shri Srivastava shared valuable guidance on export readiness, international market opportunities, documentation, compliance requirements, and the various services offered by FIEO to help businesses successfully enter global markets.

A key highlight of the programme was the interactive question-and-answer session, where participants engaged directly with the experts to discuss business-specific challenges and receive practical solutions. The exchange of ideas enabled entrepreneurs to gain clarity on government procedures, export processes, and strategies for scaling their enterprises beyond local markets.

The programme witnessed the participation of 20 FLO members and 5 SHG representatives, benefiting 25 participants directly while creating a broader outreach of 250. The event successfully strengthened the partnership between FICCI FLO Kanpur and the MSME Department, reinforcing a shared commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, promoting exports, and building a robust ecosystem that empowers businesses to achieve sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
