The Global Indian – Building a Brand Rooted in India, Loved by the World

The Global Indian – Building a Brand Rooted in India, Loved by the World was an inspiring flagship event curated by FICCI FLO Bengaluru Chapter under the leadership of Chairperson Deepa Boopesh Reddy and the Showcase Vertical. Designed for entrepreneurs, professionals and creative leaders, the session focused on how Indian brands can achieve global success while staying deeply rooted in the country’s craftsmanship, culture and storytelling traditions.

The event brought together celebrated luxury designers Falguni & Shane Peacock in conversation with Rochelle Pinto, Head of Editorial Content, Vogue India.

Through a fireside format, the discussion explored the journey of building a distinctive couture brand that has dressed international celebrities and walked major global red carpets, yet continues to draw strength and identity from Indian artistry. The speakers shared insights on developing a clear brand vision, maintaining consistency in quality and aesthetics, and constantly innovating to stay relevant in a competitive global market.

Members gained valuable perspectives on brand building, creative direction, and scaling from India to the world, with a strong emphasis on authenticity and narrative as powerful business assets. The conversation also touched upon entrepreneurship, resilience, collaboration and the importance of evolving with changing consumer aspirations, especially in the fashion and luxury space.

With 180 members in attendance, the event served as a dynamic platform for networking, exchange of ideas and potential collaborations among FLO members, designers, industry stakeholders and partners such as Vogue India and Vaishnavi Group. It reinforced the belief that Indian women entrepreneurs and professionals can shape world-class brands from India, celebrating local roots while embracing global ambition.
