FICCI FLO Chennai hosted an insightful and transformative wellness session titled “Gut, Hormones & Her: An Ayurvedic Healing Journey,” featuring renowned Gut Health and Ayurveda Expert Ms. Dimple Jangda. The event drew over 250 FLO members and offered a comprehensive exploration of the connections among gut health, hormones, emotions, and overall well-being.
Drawing from both Ayurvedic principles and modern scientific research, Dimple explained how the gut serves as the foundation of health and is often referred to as the body’s “second brain.” She highlighted the profound relationship between gut health and emotional well-being, emphasizing how digestive imbalances can influence stress, anxiety, mood, concentration, and mental clarity. Through engaging examples and practical explanations, she demonstrated how improving gut function can positively impact multiple aspects of physical and emotional health.
A key focus of the session was the relationship between gut health and hormonal balance in women. Participants gained valuable insights into how nutrition, lifestyle habits, sleep quality, digestion, and daily routines influence hormonal health, energy levels, skin health, metabolism, and overall vitality. Dimple introduced members to the Ayurvedic concept of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas, helping them understand the importance of personalized wellness practices based on individual body constitutions.
The session further explored the significance of circadian rhythms and the Ayurvedic body clock, highlighting how aligning daily routines with nature’s cycles can support digestion, detoxification, hormone regulation, and optimal health. Members learned about gut flora, probiotics, nutrient absorption, seasonal eating, food combinations, face and tongue mapping, and practical dietary approaches to support digestive wellness.
One of the most appreciated aspects of the session was the wealth of actionable guidance shared by the speaker, including Ayurvedic remedies, wellness teas, gut-healing practices, and simple lifestyle interventions that participants could incorporate into their daily routines. Dimple also shared inspiring case studies and wellness transformations from her work, demonstrating the impact of addressing the root causes of health concerns through holistic interventions.
The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion and Q&A, leaving participants empowered, informed, and inspired to embrace a more mindful and preventive approach to health and well-being.
