Ranga-Siri — Inauguration of a 3-Week Mixed Style Dance Workshop

FLO Bangalore, under the leadership of Chairperson Deepa Boopesh Reddy and the Social Impact Circle, inaugurated Ranga-Siri, a 3-week Mixed Style Dance Workshop, on Wednesday, 24th June 2026, at RBANMS First Grade College, Ulsoor. Designed for PUC students, the initiative marks the chapter-level launch of FICCI FLO’s national programme, Performing Arts Career Pathway for Girls, which aims to create a structured platform for young girls to explore, develop, and pursue opportunities in performing and creative arts.

The event was envisioned as more than just a workshop launch; it was a step toward building awareness around the performing arts as a viable pathway for self-expression, confidence-building, and future career development. Through this initiative, students are being introduced to dance not only as an art form but also as a discipline that fosters focus, teamwork, resilience, creativity, and stage confidence.

The programme follows FICCI FLO’s AIM framework — Awareness, Interest & Initiation, and Mentoring & Mastering — enabling participants to gradually move from exposure and curiosity to skill-building and career orientation. The workshop is being led by Bharath, a distinguished dance professional and choreographer with over 18 years of experience in performance, choreography, and teaching. Recognized for his achievements as the winner of Body Rock Asia 2026 and Bangalore Dance Championship 2025, Bharath brings a powerful combination of technical expertise, artistic storytelling, and mentorship to the programme.

His guidance is expected to help students discover their unique artistic voice while learning the fundamentals of mixed-style dance. Pragya Jain, FLO Member and a talented artist, dancer, and singer, also added value to the event with her creative presence and support. The workshop is planned for 50 participants and will culminate in a final student performance at RBANMS College, offering students a platform to showcase their learning and growth.

Around 5 FLO members participated in the inauguration ceremony of Ranga Siri with a footprint of 1500. As the first cohort under this initiative, RBANMS College represents an important beginning for a larger national vision that seeks to empower thousands of girls across India through structured access to performing arts education and career pathways.
