MOU Signing Ceremony — FICCI FLO Lucknow & Green Mavericks

FLO Lucknow and Green Mavericks formalised their partnership by signing a one-year MoU at Hotel Saraca on 5th June 2026 — in front of 55+ members who had just watched the chapter launching its E-Waste Drive and heard its circular economy work presented in full. The signing was the culmination of an afternoon that had been building toward exactly this moment: commitment, on paper, to something that will now be measured.

The MOU covers a year of structured collaboration. E-waste collection drives will be organised across institutions, residential societies, and corporate organisations in Lucknow — with Green Mavericks managing the collection logistics and ensuring every item collected reaches an authorised recycler under the E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022. E-waste that ends up in informal channels — which is where the majority of it goes — causes significant environmental harm. The compliance framework in this agreement closes that gap entirely.

Green Mavericks will also conduct up to four e-waste awareness sessions at no cost — bringing the environmental and health implications of improper e-waste disposal directly to communities, institutions, and FLO members. These sessions are not add-ons. They are the an education layer that makes the collection drives sustainable: people who understand why it matters are far more likely to participate consistently than those who are simply asked to drop off a device.

The impact of reporting commitment is equally significant. At regular intervals, Green Mavericks will provide FLO Lucknow with data on collection volumes and outreach — so that the environmental difference being made is visible, specific, and communicable. For a chapter that reports to FLO National and presents its work to institutional partners, that data is not just useful. It is necessary. Mrs. Simran Sahni and Mr. Devashish Motwani signed the MoU to mark the beginning of the partnership between FICCI FLO and Lucknow and Green Mavericks. Signing an MOU on World Environment Day was a statement for the chapter.
