FLO Mumbai, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay, successfully conducted an Eye Screening Camp at Cotton Green Dispensary as part of its ongoing commitment to community healthcare and social impact initiatives. The camp focused on providing accessible eye care services to women and children while creating awareness about the importance of maintaining good eye health.
Beneficiaries underwent comprehensive eye examinations conducted by experienced eye care professionals. In addition to screenings, specialist consultations were provided to address concerns related to vision impairment, eye diseases, and preventive care. Awareness sessions were organized to educate participants on common eye conditions, the significance of regular eye check-ups, and the importance of seeking timely medical attention. Beneficiaries requiring advanced medical care were guided through referral pathways to ensure continuity of treatment and support.
The camp exemplified the power of collaborative community action in delivering meaningful healthcare outcomes. It reinforced the shared commitment of FICCI FLO Mumbai and the Rotary Club of Bombay toward preventive healthcare, early diagnosis, and improving the quality of life for underserved populations.
A special acknowledgement goes to Senior Vice Chairperson Samina Khorakiwala for spearheading the initiative and ensuring its successful execution. Appreciation is also extended to Executive Committee members Megha Suhas, Monisha, Prachi, and Jayashree, along with Vertical Heads Sherali and Sangeeta, for their valuable support and contribution in making the camp a success.
The initiative witnessed an encouraging response from the community, with a total of 110 beneficiaries screened. Based on the medical assessments, 66 individuals were referred for further evaluation and treatment, while 11 patients were identified as requiring cataract treatment and were guided toward appropriate medical intervention.
