FLO Chennai officially signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the TN-RISE Women Startup Council, marking a significant step toward strengthening Tamil Nadu’s entrepreneurial ecosystem for women-led enterprises. This collaboration has been a work in progress over the last several months under the leadership of Dr. Amulya Rao, Chairperson – FLO Chennai, and Priya Goutham, National Head – Startup Cell. They identified the opportunity and worked closely to ensure meaningful engagement and participation at both the Chapter and National levels.
Also, FLO Chennai extended its sincere gratitude to Tmt. R.V. Shajeevana, IAS (2012 Batch), Managing Director & CEO, TN-RISE, for her support and leadership in enabling this meaningful collaboration. The partnership aims to create a structured platform for empowering women entrepreneurs through mentorship support, leadership development, capacity building initiatives, networking opportunities, and industry guidance and business support programs
A key highlight of this collaboration is the integration of FLO mentors into Tamil Nadu’s startup ecosystem, enabling stronger pathways for engagement with state-led initiatives and broader community development programs. With FLO’s strong network of certified mentors, the MoU creates a valuable bridge between FLO Chennai and TN-RISE to support both rural and urban women entrepreneurs.
Overall, the collaboration reflects a shared commitment toward entrepreneurship, innovation, inclusive economic growth, women-led enterprise development, and grassroots empowerment.
