FLO Kolkata organised “Power to Digitise – LinkedIn & Personal Branding Workshop”, a thoughtfully curated and future-focused session conducted under the initiatives of STEM, AI & Digital Literacy, and MSME / Startup Cell & Networking Initiative. The workshop brought together entrepreneurs, professionals, homemakers, and women leaders for an engaging learning experience centred around digital visibility, authentic storytelling, and professional positioning in the modern digital era.
The session was led by Varnika Pasari, who highlighted the transformative role of LinkedIn as a powerful platform for networking, business growth, thought leadership, and meaningful professional engagement. Emphasising that digital presence today extends far beyond conventional resumes and job applications, she explained how individuals and businesses are increasingly evaluated through their online visibility, communication style, and professional credibility.
A key highlight of the workshop was the importance of storytelling as a tool for connection and visibility. Participants were encouraged to share authentic narratives rooted in personal journeys, entrepreneurial experiences, life lessons, challenges, and achievements rather than focusing solely on promotional content. The session reinforced that genuine storytelling fosters trust, relatability, and long-term audience engagement.
The workshop also introduced participants to the practical use of AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT and Canva for creating compelling headlines, profile summaries, banners, and content strategies. Step-by-step guidance was provided on optimising LinkedIn profiles through professional photographs, strategic keywords, engaging “About” sections, and audience-focused communication.
Another significant aspect of the session focused on professional networking and community-building. Participants learned the importance of meaningful engagement, consistent visibility, and relationship-driven networking in creating business opportunities and expanding professional ecosystems.
An interactive segment on LinkedIn headshots and profile presentation further helped participants understand the visual aspects of personal branding and digital professionalism. The workshop successfully created a highly relevant and empowering learning environment that encouraged 36 women to embrace digital transformation, strengthen professional confidence, and position themselves strategically within evolving entrepreneurial and professional landscapes.
