One District One Cuisine

FLO Kanpur, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Ankita Garg, proudly collaborated with the Government of Uttar Pradesh for the prestigious One District One Cuisine (ODOC) initiative, a program designed to celebrate culinary diversity and promote local identity through food. The event, held at Shree Ganga Valley, Kanpur, was a landmark occasion that positioned FLO Kanpur as a valued partner in policy dialogue and developmental initiatives of the state.

The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble Speaker of Vidhan Sabha, Shri Satish Mahana Ji, and graced by the presence of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Shri Brajesh Pathak Ji, Divisional Commissioner and Director of Industries Shri Vijendra Pandian Ji, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Their participation underscored the government’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, cultural promotion, and inclusive growth through the ODOC framework.

A highlight of the event was the panel discussion, where FLO members were specially invited to share their perspectives and recommendations. Representing FLO Kanpur, Dr. Shefali Raj, Head – Legal & Advocacy Vertical, and Ms. Archal Goenka, Head – Food & Agri, contributed their expertise on legal frameworks, advocacy, culinary entrepreneurship, and sustainable food systems. Their insights emphasized the importance of structured engagement, women-led enterprises, and community empowerment in strengthening the ODOC initiative.
