Collaboration Meeting with DGFT Mumbai & Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP)

Representatives from FLO Mumbai, along with Chairperson Ms. Seema Saroj, had a productive meeting with Rajesh Kumar Mishra, Additional DGFT Mumbai and Director of the Indian Institute of Packaging, to discuss meaningful collaboration opportunities focused on women entrepreneurship, exports, skilling, and MSME development.

The interaction explored the possibility of jointly conducting workshops and awareness sessions designed to support women entrepreneurs and MSMEs in understanding export ecosystems, e-commerce exports, international market access, trade regulations, and government support schemes. Discussions highlighted the growing need to equip women-led businesses with practical knowledge and resources that can help them scale globally and participate more actively in international trade.

A significant part of the meeting focused on collaboration opportunities with the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), particularly in mobilising and connecting students, women, and youth to skill development initiatives related to packaging, exports, logistics, and industry readiness. The discussion emphasized the importance of creating stronger pathways between education, skilling, and employment opportunities in emerging sectors.

The meeting also explored possibilities for scholarship support schemes and awareness initiatives that can help deserving students gain access to specialised training and educational opportunities through IIP. Such initiatives would contribute towards strengthening employability, industry preparedness, and entrepreneurial capabilities among youth and aspiring professionals.

In addition, both organisations discussed the potential for collaborative MSME-focused events, policy dialogues, and industry-government engagement initiatives that can further strengthen support systems for small businesses, startups, and women-led enterprises. The meeting laid the foundation for future partnerships aimed at fostering inclusive growth, economic empowerment, and sustainable skill development ecosystems.
