FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Amulya Rao, hosted “Life Skills to Livelihood- Jute Workshops,” in collaboration with Arpanam Trust, focused on empowering women from different areas like Perumbakkam through sustainable skill development. The workshop provided training to 70 women in creating Jute based craft to promote financial independence and sustainable livelihood.
Life Skills to Livelihood is part of a series which enables women in the unorganized sector through vocational training, aimed at empowering them to be self-reliant. The session was rooted in the principles of the circular economy as the participants learned about turning jute material into useful products.
