FLO Lucknow, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Simran Sahni, organised a Medical Health Camp & Skill Development Awareness Program at Bharsar Village on 13th April 2026, focusing on improving healthcare access and promoting livelihood opportunities for rural women. The initiative was conducted under the leadership of Chairperson Simran Sahni and Vice Chair Nivedita Singh, with support from healthcare professionals and partner organizations.
The camp provided essential medical services, including gynaecological consultations, with a strong emphasis on women’s health, hygiene, reproductive awareness, and maternal wellness. Women from the village actively participated and benefited from expert guidance provided by experienced doctors, including Dr Srishti from Apollo Hospital and Mrs Nupur Gupta from Ashirwaad Life Care Hospital, BKT.
The main objective of this initiative was to promote holistic women’s empowerment at the grassroots level by addressing two critical areas—healthcare access and skill development. Another key objective was to bridge the gap between rural communities and government healthcare schemes by facilitating awareness and on-ground support for Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
A dedicated Ayushman Bharat help desk was set up to assist women with eligibility checks, registration guidance, and awareness about government healthcare benefits. Simultaneously, the program focused on identifying and encouraging traditional skills such as handicrafts, handloom, and textile work among rural women. The aim was to transform these household skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities, promoting financial independence.
