SKINfluence Orientation & Leadership Development Initiative

FLO Northeast successfully conducted the two-day SKINfluence Orientation & Leadership Development Initiative on 16th and 17th February 2026 in collaboration with FICCI Ladies Organisation National and The D-Wave, reaffirming its commitment to empowering young women through structured mentorship, scientific awareness, and professional skill-building.

The sessions were conducted on 16th February at KRB Girls’ College, followed by sessions on 17th February at Pandu College (morning) and Handique Girls’ College (evening). The initiative also witnessed participation from students representing Gauhati University, Cotton University, Arya Vidyapith College, and Pragjyotish College.

The program created a total impact of 215 young women participants, reflecting strong engagement and cross-institutional collaboration. The orientation introduced the vision and mission of FLO in strengthening women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and capacity building across regions, with special focus on the Northeast.

A key highlight of the initiative was SKINfluence, structured as a developmental program integrating science-based awareness with leadership and skill development modules. Participants were exposed to communication training, digital responsibility, strategic thinking, project execution, and real-world brand understanding.

Students were also informed about tangible career-linked opportunities. Selected participants will be eligible for paid internships with The D-Wave and may have the opportunity to become the brand face of the company, providing early professional visibility and industry exposure. The format combined focused theoretical sessions with practical, task-based, and gamified engagement to ensure experiential learning and measurable outcomes.

FICCI FLO Northeast extends sincere gratitude to the faculty members of all participating institutions for their cooperation and support, which contributed significantly to the successful execution of the initiative.

The two-day program successfully bridged academic learning with professional preparedness, reinforcing FICCI FLO Northeast’s continued commitment to nurturing confident, informed, and capable young women leaders in the region. It turned out into a mega project with 2 universities and five colleges participating.
