Conscious Weaves And Wisdom

The Conscious Weaves and Wisdom event, organized by the Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO), was a highly successful and insightful session dedicated to the intersection of sustainable fashion and traditional Indian craftsmanship. Organized in collaboration with Ms. Sacchi Bahl ( SAAHRA), the event highlighted the cultural and economic significance of heritage textiles like Chikankari and Bandhani, positioning them as key elements in the modern sustainable fashion movement. 

The program successfully engaged members with a thought-provoking dialogue and a celebration of mindful design, featuring the invaluable contributions of artisans Mr. Abdul Vahab (Bandhani) and Ms. Navya Sachdeva (Chikankari). 

Objectives 

The primary objectives of “Conscious Weaves and Wisdom” were:

  • To elevate the conversation around sustainable fashion. 
  • To provide a platform for designers and artisans working with traditional Indian textiles. 
  • To educate members on the craftsmanship and history behind Chikankari and Bandhani.
