FLO Bangalore, under the leadership of Chairperson Dekyi Yangtso Chawla, organized a Dental Screening and Treatment Camp for children with special needs at Oceanic Educational Institution, Devinagar, Bengaluru. Held in collaboration with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, the Faculty of Dental Sciences, Ramaiah University, the camp focused on providing treatment to children with hearing, speech, and visual impairments.
Also, it identified oral health issues such as dental caries, periodontal conditions, and other dental concerns. The camp ensured continuity of care by referring children requiring advanced procedures to Ramaiah Dental Hospital.
Implementation & Execution
The dental camp was conducted through Ramaiah University’s Mobile Dental Unit, ensuring
accessibility and ease of care delivery. Beneficiaries included both differently abled and fully abled children from the local community, with special attention given to inclusive and sensitive treatment practices.
