FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the 42nd National President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Robotex India, & The Cantonment Board, Bareilly, on February 09, 2025. The main objective of this MoU is to set up a “Centre of Excellence for Future Skills & Innovation Hub” at selected Cantonment Schools under Bareilly Cantonment Board which provides future ready education to children from defence, ex-servicemen, and civilian communities.
Students will be trained in different fields, such as robotics, artificial intelligence, innovation, market research, and prototyping project-based learning. The Centre of Excellence will be responsible for:
- Establishment of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Coding, and Innovation Labs.
- Structured student and teacher capacity-building programmes.
- Quarterly capstone project development, mentoring, and presentation cycles.
- Demonstrations, showcases, and exhibitions at the Ministry, FICCI FLO, and government platforms.
- Student participation in Robotex India regional, national, and international competitions and exhibitions.
- Mentorship programmes focused on entrepreneurship, problem-solving, product design, and early-stage market research.
FICCI FLO will grant funding for the project in accordance with the approved budget. On the other hand, Cantonment schools will provide adequate physical space, utilities, and basic infrastructure for the centre. Robotex India will design, execute, and manage the project end-to-end. This MoU signing is a part of FICCI FLO’s commitment towards preparing young students for the future workforce and make them contributors to India’s growth story.
