Non-Verbal Communication (National Initiative – Urban Skilling)

FLO Vadodara, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Shivani P. Patel, with the support of Udayan Care, organized a workshop on non-verbal communication for girls studying in the 12th standard under the Udayan Shalini Fellowship Program. It helped participants understand the role of non-verbal communication in daily interactions.

The session was conducted by Ms. Devanshi Pandya and focused on building awareness of body language and its impact on effective communication. During the workshop, the girls participated in interactive activities and role-plays that enabled them to observe and practice various non-verbal cues.

Through group discussions, they identified examples of positive and negative body language and understood their influence on interpersonal communication. The participants practiced maintaining eye contact, confident posture, active listening, and appropriate gestures. Real-life situations such as interviews, teamwork, and public speaking were demonstrated and discussed.

The girls also reflected on their own habits and shared how they planned to apply positive body language in their daily lives. The workshop concluded with 36 participants demonstrating enhanced confidence, improved presentation skills, and a stronger understanding of the importance of non-verbal communication.
