FLO Vadodara, in collaboration with Sudeep Nutrition Pvt. Ltd., organized a Menopause Awareness session on 27th December 2025 at Nandesari Primary Gujarati Group School. The programme was conducted for school girls’ mothers, female staff of the Sudeep Group, school faculty, and women from the nearby village community, to promote awareness and understanding of women’s midlife health.
The session was led by Dr. Prachi Sabnis, consultant – obstetrician & gynecologist, Zydus Hospitals, Vadodara. She explained menopause as a natural biological transition in a woman’s life and emphasized the importance of awareness, timely medical consultation, and lifestyle management. She educated participants about common symptoms such as hormonal changes, hot flashes, mood fluctuations, sleep disturbances, and bone health concerns, highlighting the need to address them proactively rather than in silence.
Special focus was given to breaking myths, reducing stigma, and encouraging open conversations around menopause, particularly in rural settings where the topic is often overlooked. The session empowered women with practical guidance on nutrition, physical activity, emotional well-being, and self-care strategies to maintain overall health and quality of life during and after menopause.
The initiative marked an important step in strengthening menopause awareness in rural communities, enabling women to approach this life stage with confidence, knowledge, and a positive mindset toward long-term well-being.
