FLO Pune, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Anita Agarwal, organized a beautifully curated day at Fratelli Vineyards, Akluj, for its members, combining learning, leisure, and networking in a scenic setting. The visit offered members an immersive experience into the world of Indian winemaking, set amidst the expansive vineyards.
The day began with a guided vineyard walk, where members gained insights into grape varieties, cultivation practices, and the terroir that defines Fratelli wines. This was followed by an engaging session on the wine-making process, detailing each stage from harvesting to fermentation and aging.
A cellar visit gave participants a behind-the-scenes look at storage techniques and barrel aging, enriching their understanding of quality control and craftsmanship. The experience was further elevated with a guided wine tasting session, allowing members to appreciate different notes, textures, and styles of Fratelli wines.
The visit concluded with a relaxed lunch, offering members an opportunity to connect and unwind. Around 75 participants had the exclusive benefit of purchasing wines at discounted prices, making the experience both enjoyable and rewarding.
