FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, in association with Udgam Foundation, successfully conducted Project श्री – Sakshamta Workshop – 3 (I) under Project WINGS (Wedding Initiative) at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun.
The session, themed “Crafting Carryalls – A Paper Bag Making Workshop,” provided a creative and sustainable experience into the art of making eco-friendly paper carry bags. Participants were guided step-by-step in designing and assembling sturdy, reusable paper bags, highlighting the importance of eco-conscious practices and sustainable alternatives to plastic.
Spearheaded by Tripti Behl, FLO Senior Vice Chairperson and President of Udgam Foundation, the workshop emphasized skill development, sustainability, and economic empowerment. By equipping women with practical techniques in eco-friendly crafts, the initiative encouraged them to explore new avenues for self-reliance and entrepreneurial growth.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting its value as a platform for creativity, confidence-building, and environmental responsibility. With 30 women actively engaging and an outreach impact of 15,000, the workshop stood as a meaningful step toward fostering both sustainable living and women’s empowerment.
