FICCI FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, in association with Udgam Foundation, successfully conducted Project श्री as part of the Sakshamta Series 2 – Session V under Project WING (Wedding Initiative) at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun.
The session focused on the art of floral crafts and decorative embellishments, offering participants practical training in assembling fabric flowers, pom-poms, tassels, and other creative adornments. This hands-on learning experience was designed to foster both creative expression and skill enhancement, equipping women with craft techniques that can be transformed into sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Spearheaded by Tripti Behl, FLO senior vice chairperson and president of Udgam Foundation, the initiative emphasized economic empowerment through artisan-led workshops. With 30 women actively participating, the program provided not only exposure to new skills but also the encouragement to channel creativity into self-reliance and entrepreneurial ventures.
Also, this workshop has left an outstanding impact by reaching 15,000 individuals organically. The workshop received an enthusiastic response, reflecting its value as a nurturing platform for building confidence, honing artistic abilities, and creating avenues for sustainable income.
