FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, organized a wellness session titled “Daily Wellbeing Rituals” for the women inmates at Suddhowala Jail, Dehradun. The workshop was conducted as part of Project Skill Her – Health & Wellness Series, steered by Rama Chopra and Gurkiran Pathak, Health & Wellness Initiative Head and Project Lead, Skill Her.
The session was facilitated by Gurkiran Pathak and was attended by nearly 35 inmates, along with 3 staff members of the jail and FLO member Sunisha Aggarwal. Also, the Daily Wellbeing Rituals program focused on equipping participants with simple and practical self-care practices, such as skin and hair care routines using natural ingredients, gentle therapeutic exercises to relieve pain in the head, shoulders, back, and feet, and build awareness around daily self-care rituals for overall health and positivity.
The interactive session received an enthusiastic response, with the inmates actively participating and sharing their experiences. The initiative highlighted the importance of wellness practices in enhancing physical and emotional wellbeing, especially within rehabilitative environments.
FICCI FLO Uttarakhand extends heartfelt gratitude to Sunisha Aggarwal for her support and gracious presence, and to the jail authorities for their cooperation in enabling this meaningful engagement. With initiatives like Daily Wellbeing Rituals, FLO Uttarakhand continues to strengthen its commitment to women empowerment and holistic wellness through the Skill Her program.
