Project Shree: Suraksha Sessions

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, in collaboration with Udgam Foundation organized Suraksha sessions under the banner of Project Shree at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun. These impactful awareness sessions were held with the objective of empowering women through enhanced understanding of personal safety, legal rights, and basic self-defense techniques.

Facilitated by Coach Niriksha Chettri, the sessions were highly engaging and interactive, providing practical strategies and confidence-building tools to help participants stay alert, prepared, and protected in real-life situations. The project was initiated and led by Tripti Behl, FLO Uttarakhand’s Senior Vice Chairperson and President of Udgam Foundation, whose unwavering commitment to women’s safety continues to drive the vision of Project Shree.

The initiative was carried out under the able leadership and support of Dr. Geeta Khanna, Chairperson of FLO Uttarakhand, whose guidance has been instrumental in the successful execution of this safety-focused awareness program. Also, Project Shree focuses on both rural skilling and capacity building for women. Around 30 participants became a part of the Suraksha sessions and learned self-defense techniques and personal safety tips.
