FLO Kolkata, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Nidhi Jhunjhunwala, launched ‘Sustainable September’ – a month-long campaign promoting awareness and action on responsible disposal of medicines, clothes, electronics, batteries, and wires. Led by Ms. Deepika Mundhra, project lead, members and citizens actively participated in donation and recycling drives.
Collected items were sent to GOONJ for clothing reuse and Huladeck for electronic waste recycling, creating a strong impact towards circular economy awareness. Three awareness and collection sessions were organized, focusing on responsible recycling practices and environmental responsibility.
Total impact includes the collection of 25 cartons of clothes and one truckload of electronics; 1,100 women engaged; 200 direct beneficiaries.
