E-Waste Collection Drive (National Initiative – Sustainability)

FLO Vadodara, under the leadership of Chairperson Shivani P. Patel, continues to strengthen its environmental initiatives with the successful collection of 86.6 kg of E-waste in July 2025 from Light Publications. This effort is part of FLO’s ongoing drive to promote responsible e-waste management and sustainable practices.

The collected E-waste—including old electronics like printers, computers, keyboards, LCD monitors, batteries, cables and cartridges—was handed over to ECS, a certified and authorised agency, ensuring proper recycling, upcycling, or safe disposal. FLO’s collaboration with ECS guarantees that hazardous materials are diverted from landfills, reducing ecological harm and promoting circular economy practices. It reduced landfill burden and prevented toxic harm to the ecosystem.

Each collection effort, however small, plays a vital role in FLO’s broader mission toward environmental responsibility. The July contribution from Light Publications is another step toward building a cleaner, more sustainable future—demonstrating that consistent, collective action leads to lasting impact. Also, this FLO’s broader sustainability initiative focusing on women-led growth aligns with the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision.
