FLO Vadodara, in association with Zydus Hospitals, organised an awareness seminar on menopause for the rural women living in Ranu village. The main objective of this session is to raise awareness about menopause and its impact on women’s health. Dr. Prutha Patel, Medical Oncologist at Zydus Hospitals, Vadodara, was the guest speaker of this seminar, who empowered participants with knowledge for early recognition, effective management, and informed lifestyle choices.
The seminar was part of the FLO Kavach initiative, which aims to empower women by addressing key health challenges and promoting overall well-being. As part of FICCI FLO’s commitment to women’s health, the session focused on educating rural women about the physical and emotional changes associated with menopause and how to manage them effectively.
Dr. Prutha Patel addressed the group with clarity and compassion, explaining common symptoms, long-term health impacts, and practical strategies for managing menopause through lifestyle adjustments, nutrition, and medical support when necessary.
A total of 300 women benefited from the seminar on menopause awareness, as it educated them about menopause and its related symptoms and management. The participants responded with curiosity and engagement, sharing their experiences and gaining confidence to navigate this important phase of life with greater understanding and support.
