FICCI FLO, under the leadership of the 42nd National President, Ms. Poonam Sharma, organized a FLO Kavach virtual session, titled “Shielding Women Business Leaders: Protecting Yourself from Personal Liability,” featuring Advocate on Record and Co-Founder, Vh Law Chambers, Ms. Hima Lawrence as the speaker.
This event focuses on addressing how to protect women leaders from personal liability in their professional and business lives. A renowned lawyer who practices in both New Delhi and New York, Ms. Hima Lawrence, told attendees how women leaders can protect themselves against personal liabilities while managing their startups and businesses smoothly.
Ms. Lawrence discussed the best business structure, practices for contracts, mitigating daily legal risks, navigating legal disputes, and leveraging insurance. She emphasized choosing the correct legal entity, distinguishing personal and business assets, and maintaining corporate formalities.
This virtual session benefited attendees by providing them with the knowledge and tools to protect their businesses legally. Around 39 attendees participated in the Shielding Women Business Leaders session.
