FLO Chennai Book Club Meet – Heart Lamp

FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Niyati A. Mehta, hosted a meeting for the book discussion on Heart Lamp by Banu Mushtaq at LIVING VERANTES 49, Chamiers Road. The members of FLO Chennai Book Club – SPARK (Special Interest Group),  Chairs Shibi Ravi and Sushma Tolia, along with Sonali, did a wonderful job of curating and facilitating this event.

Also, they are responsible for creating a warm and engaging space that fosters meaningful conversations and connections through literature. The group discussed Banu Mushtaq’s Booker Prize-winning novel Heart Lamp, exploring themes such as family, women’s rights, and freedoms. With its rich storytelling and emotional depth, the book not only highlights pressing social issues but also resonates universally, making it a significant contribution to contemporary literature.

The meeting, hosted at Verantes Living, a high-end interior design studio on Chamiers Road, brought together 33 enthusiastic members who participated in a delightfully interactive session. The stimulating afternoon concluded with a delightful high tea. It was, without a doubt, a gathering that celebrated not just literature but also the power of meaningful connections, love, and the awareness of women’s rights.
