FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh signed an agreement with Finolex Industries Limited CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation for a women empowerment project. The agreement was formalized in the presence of Chairperson Ms. Ruchika Gupta, and Executive Committee members Ms. Shalom Paul and Mr. Babalu Mokale from Mukul Madhav Foundation.
The project aimed at benefitting poor and marginalized women and adolescent girls from the Budgam district of Jammu & Kashmir. To enable trainees to engage in gainful and sustainable livelihood activities through vocational training, to build their capacity for economic self-reliance, and to provide support in establishing forward and backward linkages.
100 women from Budgam will receive training in cutting, tailoring, traditional hand embroidery, and management skills relevant to their livelihood. The project will contribute to their socio-cultural development by promoting activities in garment designing, stitching, education, and skill enhancement.
