FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh continues its mission to empower young women by launching the second batch of the Digital Literacy Program in Financial Awareness at Govt. College for Women (GCW), Parade. This initiative aimed to equip students with crucial financial and digital skills, with support from Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tickoo, Principal, GCW Parade, and Dr. Seema Malpotra, Convener, Women Study Centre. The program enrolled 30 students who will undergo structured training under the NIIT Foundation curriculum.
Chairperson Mrs. Ruchika Gupta inaugurated the program at the college’s computer lab. She urged students to seize this opportunity to enhance their financial management skills, preparing them for future professional challenges. She also acknowledged Dr. Seema Malpotra’s efforts in facilitating the program’s execution.
Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tickoo, Principal, GCW Parade, praised the chapter for introducing such impactful initiatives. He reaffirmed his support for future initiatives that contribute to students’ holistic development.
The program covered key topics including financial concepts, savings, banking, insurance, financial planning, and mobile banking, equipping students with essential financial knowledge. Trained resource persons, including Dr. Seema Malpotra, Dr. Nitu Sharma, Prof. Mohd. Qayoom, Prof. Sukhvinder Kour, and Dr. Iesha Sharma will facilitate the training.
The event saw the participation of core team members, including Sr. Vice Chairperson Aarti Chowdhary, Treasurer Sona Mehta, and Joint Executive Secretary Nandita Bajaj, reaffirming the organization’s dedication to women’s education and skill development.
