Breaking Barriers, Changing Lives: Menopause Awareness at Weavers Colony

FLO Bangalore organized Breaking Barriers, Changing Lives: Menopause Awareness at Weavers Colony, bringing together 200 women from diverse cultural, religious, and age backgrounds for an open conversation on menopause, menstrual health, and cervical cancer.

The event highlighted inclusivity, with Muslim women participating comfortably in the temple premises, where the presiding priest welcomed all, reinforcing that places of faith can also be spaces for knowledge, health, and unity. Another event highlight was when fathers from the slums attended the session to collect menstrual kits for their daughters.

Dr. Pavitra provided valuable insights into women’s health. At the same time, Ms. Preeti Daddu actively engaged with the attendees, reinforcing the importance of collective efforts in breaking taboos and ensuring no woman navigates these challenges alone. FLO Bangalore remains committed to empowering women through education and community-driven initiatives.
