FLO Ludhiana organised an INSPIRING event with BOLLYWOOD actress, writer, poet, humanitarian, human and cancer, survivor Lisa Ray on 18th of April, Wednesday at, Hotel Park Plaza, Ludhiana.
Lisa Ray inauguratedæ cancer detection Vanæ which is a small diagnostic unit on wheels with Mammographyæ machine and X-ray machine with computerised radiography.
Sharing with Media persons , Ms Ankita Gupta , esteemed Chairperson of FLO Ludhiana said , “We have realised that India has a poor cancer detection rate of only 29%, sadly, which is one of the lowest in the world. FLO Ludhiana chapter in its own little way, wants to play an important part in its detection. Under our CareMedic vertical, in association with Sohana Hospital , launch our very own detection van on wheels wherein anyone could go get their check-ups or save a loved one’s life.”
After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and National Anthem, the chairperson introduced the honourable guest to the audience and Sanam Mehra welcomed the audience.
The event progressed with an interesting and intriguing conversation of Lisa with the audience . Lisa is a cancer survivor & She shared how cancer changed things for her &ææ how her journey helped others after she wrote a blog about what itÍs like living with cancer.
Talking to Chairperson Ms Ankita Gupta She said , ñWe aim to create a safe and supportive community for women. Our organization provides a platform for women to come together, share their experiences, and support each other. By building a strong community of women, we can empower each other to be agents of change in our own lives and in society as a whole.î
