Explores Collaborative Opportunities with the Andaman Administration and ANCCI Women’s Wing

YFLO Hyderabad Chairperson Ms. Ridhi Jain, along with Past Chairpersons Ms. Sonali Modi Saraf and Ms. Arti Shah, and incoming Chairperson Ms. Pallavi Jain, had the privilege of meeting Dr. Chandra Kumar Bhushan, IAS, Chief Secretary of the Andaman Administration, at the Secretariat.

The meeting was an enriching opportunity to discuss potential collaborations focusing on women’s empowerment and skill development. YFLO Hyderabad highlighted its ongoing initiatives across various industrial sectors and explored synergies with the Andaman Administration’s Lakhpati Women Initiative, which aims to empower women through economic independence. The interaction concluded with YFLO presenting a token of appreciation to the Chief Secretary, strengthening ties and laying the foundation for future partnerships involving collaborative programs in this tropical paradise.

The visit also included a reception from the Women’s Wing of the Andaman and Nicobar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ANCCI), under the leadership of President Smt. Zubaida Begum. A felicitation ceremony was held at Hotel Lemon Tree, where President Smt. Zubaida Begum and Secretary Smt. Vrinda Agarwal extended a welcome to the YFLO Hyderabad team. The gathering facilitated an exchange of ideas, focusing on mutual growth and collaboration, including discussions about establishing an Andaman chapter of FLO.

In a gesture symbolizing respect and partnership, Chairperson Ridhi Jain and President Zubaida Begum exchanged mementos, marking the beginning of a promising association between YFLO Hyderabad and the ANCCI Women’s Wing.

YFLO Hyderabad members also had the opportunity to connect with ANCCI’s Women’s Wing leadership and members, including Zubaida Begum, owner of Royal Petroleum in Bambooflat; Secretary Vrinda Agarwal, a Chartered Accountant; Zainab Ahmad Jadwet, owner of boutique souvenir store Ramolon and restaurant Cafe 1789; and Nargis, who operates a game fishing company in the islands.

The Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ACCI), established in 1962 and renamed in 1986, serves as the apex trade and industry body of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Affiliated with major organizations like FICCI and CII, ACCI fosters business growth, represents the interests of its members, and works with the government to promote economic development.

This visit, which combined interactions with the Secretariat and ANCCI, reinforced YFLO Hyderabad’s commitment to women-centric initiatives and building strong industrial and entrepreneurial partnerships in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
