Investment 101: Teacher’s Edition

YFLO Kolkata’s The Philanthropy Club, led by Chairperson Ms. Varsha Wadhwa Chirimar, hosted an impactful session, “Investment 101: Teacher’s Edition”, at the Modern High School for Girls. The event aimed to empower and educate teachers about the basics of investing. The session empowered 120 teachers in attendance, focused on simplifying complex investment concepts, and equipping educators with the tools to make informed financial decisions.

It marked a deeply personal milestone for the chapter chairperson, as it allowed her to give back to her Alma Mater. In collaboration with Dhanvesttor, a boutique investment firm founded by YFLO member, Anooshka Soham Bathwal, the session was designed to provide teachers with insights into stocks, mutual funds, and personal finance.

The session included practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and Q&A segments, with a team of experts from Dhanvesttor offering advice and guidance. The teachers gained valuable insights that could potentially transform their approach to personal finance.
