Project Shree – Sakshamta Series II

FLO Uttarakhand, under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, in association with Udgam Foundation, conducted the first session of Project Shree – Sakshamta Series II at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun. This hands-on training focused on Floral Craft and Decorative Embellishments, aiming to empower young girls through creativity and artisan-led skill development.

Attendees were introduced to the art of floral craft, including techniques used in gifting, décor, and festive embellishment. The workshop falls under the Handloom, Textile & Handicrafts Initiative and the Wedding Initiative (WING) of FLO’s National verticals — aligning with FLO’s broader mission to upskill women in crafts that hold both cultural and commercial value. This initiative is led by Pooja Aggarwal with the support of team members, Tripti Bhel as session facilitator and Ruchi Aggarwal.

The session was conceptualized and facilitated by Tripti Behl, FLO Senior Vice Chairperson and President of Udgam Foundation, whose passion for grassroots empowerment continues to inspire. Also present at the workshop was Meetu Rastogi, who lent her support and encouragement to the Initiative. A total of 45 enthusiastic girls benefited from this session as they learned employable skills which will help them to generate income.
