Project Shree – Sakshamta Workshop 3.0 & 4.0

FLO Uttarakhand, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Geeta Khanna, in collaboration with Udgam Foundation, successfully conducted Project SHREE – Sakshamta Workshop 3.0 and 4.0 as part of its ongoing commitment to empower women through practical skill-building initiatives. This workshop is a part of the WINGS initiative, which equips women with the skills required to earn a livelihood in the wedding industry.

Organized under the Wedding Initiative Wing of FLO, the workshops were led by Senior Vice Chairperson and Project Initiator Tripti Behl, who also serves as President of Udgam Foundation. The sessions were held on 6th June (3.0) and 11th June (4.0) at Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram, Laxman Chowk, Dehradun.

Focused on Shagun Envelope Making, the workshops provided hands-on training to participants, teaching them more than five unique envelope designs. Participants explored how to creatively enhance simple envelopes using different materials and techniques. They also learned to design their own templates and gained valuable knowledge about market pricing, profit margins, and how to develop a market-ready product.

These interactive sessions not only enhanced the participants’ creative abilities but also provided them with entrepreneurial insight, empowering them to convert their skills into a source of livelihood. With this, the Shagun Envelope Making sessions under Project SHREE came to a successful close. The work created by the attendees will soon be displayed and made available in the market in order to generate profits. Around 17 beneficiaries attended the session and learned employable skills.
