FLO Vadodara, under the leadership of Chairperson Shivani P. Patel, organised a session for “Menopause Awareness” and its impact on women’s health. This session focused on empowering women with knowledge for early recognition, effective management, and informed lifestyle choices. The chapter addressed this crucial topic of menopause management during its Women’s Health Awareness Program held at Jagaji Mandir Hall, Shokda Village, Dist. Vadodara.
The session featured guest speaker, Dr. Reshmi Banerjee, MD, Gynaecology and Credential IMS Menopause Practitioner (CIMP) at Zydus Hospitals, Vadodara, who led the session and shared valuable guidance on recognising menopause-related symptoms, handling hormonal changes, and adopting healthy lifestyle practices.
She reassured the participants that menopause is a natural phase of life and can be managed with awareness, proper care, and support. The dignitaries present included Dr. Chirag Patel (Sarpanch) and Dr. Aena Patel, who extended immense support for the program. FLO Vadodara Chapter acknowledged Dr. Aena Patel’s dedicated efforts in organising and coordinating the session.
Following the discussion, all participants were invited to a community lunch and received a small token of appreciation, making the day both informative and memorable. This initiative proved to be a significant stride towards empowering rural women with knowledge and confidence to manage menopause, encouraging them to embrace this stage of life with dignity and self-care. The event brought together over 395 village women, eager to learn about health changes that occur during midlife.
