Sustainability Drive And Excursion At Dhun Village 

FLO Jaipur, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Rimmi Shekhawat, hosted a meaningful “Sustainability Drive and Excursion at Dhun Village.” This was not just a visit but a powerful experience in sustainability, ecology, and harmony. FLO members witnessed how innovative practices, when blended with traditional wisdom, can restore balance between humans, nature, and community. The program was held at Dhun, which is known for representing future sustainable living and holistic growth. 

Key Highlights

FLO Members joined this meaningful journey and experienced:

  • Water & Harmony with Nature: Members experienced the creation of nine man-made lakes for rainwater harvesting – a striking example of how water conservation brings land and community back into balance. Also, they witnessed permaculture practices.
  • Sustainability through Ecological Restoration: Over 2 lakh trees have been planted using both traditional and Miyawaki methods, enriching biodiversity and reviving the environment. 
  • Gaushala Visit: The Dhun Gaushala reflected a deep sense of harmony with animals, where indigenous cows are protected and nurtured.
  • Education for Sustainable Futures: At Dhun School, children are taught robotics, practical knowledge, and holistic values – a harmonious blend of modern innovation with grounded community education.
  • Culture Meets Sustainability: The day concluded at the majestic Dhun Fort with a soulful musical evening, symbolising how heritage, culture, and sustainability can coexist in perfect harmony. 
  • Green Travel: FLO reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by arranging more than ten Electric Vehicles for eco-friendly mobility across the village, minimising environmental impact.

100 FLO members joined this sustainability drive and excursion. Members described the day as unforgettable and transformative – an inspiring journey of learning, bonding, and experiencing how harmony and sustainability are possible when community, ecology, and innovation come together. 

The excursion to Dhun Village became a living example of FLO’s mission – weaving together tradition, innovation, sustainability, and harmony. It left members motivated to integrate these values into their personal and professional lives, reaffirming FLO’s vision of building a balanced and empowered tomorrow.
