FLO Chennai, under the leadership of chairperson Niyati A. Mehta, organised a meet & greet event focused on business networking at Gift Wrapping Chennai, an elegant, design-forward space owned by FLO member Mittal Surendra. The event was a wonderful blend of structure and spontaneity, offering members a warm yet purposeful setting to connect, collaborate, and share their business journeys.
This meet & greet event is a part of FLO’s Business Networking Vertical, and Vertical Head Nancy Satish and her team ensured the best experience for the attendees. The evening began with a welcome address by Geetha Muthusamy, who articulated the vision of the Business Networking Vertical—to foster strategic growth through partnerships and collaborative ventures within the FLO community.
Chairperson Niyati Mehta followed with an inspiring overview of FLO Chennai’s upcoming initiatives and reaffirmed the chapter’s unwavering focus on empowerment and impact. Host and entrepreneur Mittal Surendra took the group through her journey with Gift Wrapping Chennai, reflecting on the brand’s evolution, her design philosophy, and her passion for purposeful entrepreneurship. Her thoughtful presentation set the tone for the rest of the evening.
The spotlight then turned to the members, with each attendee given a minute to introduce themselves, their business, and their goals for collaboration. This structured format encouraged clarity, visibility, and genuine connection. The flow was expertly managed by committee member Aksha Nanavati, who ensured smooth transitions and engaging energy throughout.
The event closed with a vote of thanks by Nisha Kapoor, who shared her own positive experience with the vertical and encouraged everyone to make the most of such platforms. The formal proceedings gave way to relaxed networking over high tea, with members exchanging cards, ideas, and possibilities for future collaboration.
28 women benefited from this business networking event. This session was a strong reminder of the power of curated, in-person networking and the value it brings—especially for emerging entrepreneurs. It helped members gain confidence, visibility, and fostered a strong sense of community within the FLO Chennai network.
