FLO’s women in agriculture initiative

The event was organized with a threefold vision: to address land ownership issues for women farmers, to bring qualitative improvement in the produce, and to provide a forum for direct sale to the end-users.

FLO Ahmedabad with FEA and WGWLO created a platform where restaurateurs, hoteliers, café owners, food processors, food wholesalers, food retailers and grocers met farmers mainly women from the villages and neighbouring districts with the idea of getting the local produce directly to the end consumer and empowering the marginalized community under the sustainable and organic framework.

A strong platform was created where the producers and the end-users came together to discuss their problems and take out solutions to create a free-flowing chain of operations to maximise productivity and profits
