Breast Cancer Awareness Session (National Initiative – FLO Kavach)

FLO Vadodara organised a session to raise awareness regarding breast cancer. The awareness seminar featured guest speaker Dr. Reshmi Banerjee, MD, Gynaecology and Credential IMS Menopause Practitioner (CIMP) at Zydus Hospitals, Vadodara. This session is a part of the FLO Kavach-health initiative focused on empowering women by addressing key health challenges and promoting overall well-being.

It raised awareness about breast cancer among rural women in Ankodiya village, offering education on prevention, early detection, and access to free screenings. The session was conducted by Dr. Reshmi Banerjee, who provided valuable insights into breast cancer risk factors, self-examination techniques, and the importance of timely screenings.

She also highlighted recent advancements in treatment, encouraging women to be proactive about their health. Around 200 women benefited from breast cancer awareness session. The participants responded with curiosity and engagement, and shared their experiences with Dr. Reshmi Banerjee.

The women asked insightful questions and showed strong interest in learning more. To further support the initiative, free breast cancer screening was made available, giving the community much-needed access to early detection and vital care.
