The Cycle of Care

The Menstrual Health and HPV Awareness Session was conducted by YFLO Kolkata, on 28th, 29th and 30th September 2026 across various centres under the Calcutta Foundation, engaging 300 women in a focused programme on women’s health and preventive care. The initiative addressed two significant aspects of women’s healthcare: menstrual health and Human Papillomavirus (HPV) awareness. The sessions aimed to promote awareness of menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and the importance of informed healthcare practices.

The programme also highlighted HPV awareness as an important component of cervical cancer prevention. By addressing these subjects, the initiative sought to encourage greater understanding of preventive healthcare and support informed health-related decisions among participants. Conducting the sessions across three centres enabled broader community engagement and provided an accessible platform for disseminating essential health information. The participation of 300 women reflected the programme’s reach and its focus on community-level awareness.

The initiative reinforced the importance of sustained health education in improving health literacy and encouraging women to take a proactive approach to their well-being. By focusing on awareness and prevention, the programme contributed to broader efforts to promote informed healthcare practices and strengthen community engagement around women’s health.

Conducted under the Calcutta Foundation, the programme reflected the value of community-based initiatives in addressing essential health concerns and extending awareness to women across multiple centres.
