Under the leadership of Chairperson Seema Saroj, FLO Mumbai hosted an engaging and highly practical workshop titled “The Art of Product Photography” (presented as “From Product to Picture — The Art of Visual Storytelling”). Designed specifically for women entrepreneurs, the session focused on imparting skills that members could apply immediately to strengthen their brands.
Led by Herumb Khot, a leading producer and former fashion & advertising photographer, the workshop took participants behind the lens to understand the elements that make a product photograph stand out. Members explored lighting techniques, camera angles, composition, styling, framing, backgrounds, product placement, and a range of simple tips and tricks. The hands-on format allowed attendees to bring their own products, experiment with different techniques, and learn how to create impactful images—even using just a mobile phone.
The session was thoughtfully driven by Vertical Heads Zohra and Pooja Bansal, ensuring a relevant, skill-based learning experience. It emphasised practical application so that members could elevate both their product presentation and social-media content into professional, compelling brand storytelling.
Overall, it was described as a creative afternoon of learning by doing that empowered entrepreneurs to showcase their products more effectively and tell their brand stories better. The event aligns with FICCI FLO Mumbai’s broader mission of supporting women’s entrepreneurship through practical capacity-building.
