FLO Indore, under the leadership of Chairperson Vandana Gujrati, organized a mind soothing session, “Rooted in Nature – A Trail to Nursery,” at Nature’s Nursery, Indore, which underscored that thoughtful planting is both a passion and a duty. Members left equipped with practical knowledge to create greener homes and communities while celebrating the festival, sustainably. As they left with beautiful Ganesha idols, the session also inspired them to adopt organic gardening practices and eco-conscious festive traditions
In a world that often pulls us away from the earth, nature quietly reminds us of what truly sustains life. Plants are not just green companions but a vital source of oxygen, balance and quiet beauty. Knowing how, where and when to plant, how to choose the right planter, how to mix soil, and how to care for these living beings is the knowledge every household deserves.
This connection between nature, beauty and well-being came alive when FLO Indore, under its Green Tech and Circular Economy and Visual Art Initiative, organized a deeply nurturing event for its members The event featured an insightful nursery trail led by Mr. Sushmit Vyas, Founder of a leading landscape design studio and a designer-landscape consultant with nearly three decades of expertise.
Mr. Vyas emphasized that core requirements for healthy plants include proper air circulation, the right soil mixture, appropriate water, sunlight and consistent love and care — all while keeping the carbon footprint low. Parallelly, Ganesha-making sessions were conducted by Rajat Wadekar of the Artwala Foundation, Pune, who has been practicing the craft for 15 years. Using organic mud sourced from fields and mixed with paper mache for elasticity. The session was attended by 100 participants who learned about healthy plants and its core requirements.
