FLO Chennai’s Wellness & Lifeskills vertical joined hands with the AI & Digital Literacy vertical to host a digital empowerment workshop at Arpanam, Church Park, Valaagam. Designed as a strategic approach to women’s empowerment, the session brought practical technology skills directly to the women it serves, reinforcing FLO’s mission to empower through knowledge.
Run across two batches in a morning and afternoon session, the workshop reached a total of 70 women. The hands-on curriculum covered four core areas: WhatsApp Business for digital leadership, Google Workspace for collaboration and productivity, AI tools for smarter work, and smartphone best practices for safe and secure usage. Each module was framed around real, everyday application, helping participants build both confidence and competence with the tools shaping work and communication today.
Alongside building these skills, the session paid close attention to digital safety, walking participants through security threats, public network and cloud risks, privacy considerations around AI tools, and smart smartphone habits. This balance of capability and caution sat at the heart of the day, ensuring participants left equipped to use technology not just effectively, but securely. The training was led by Sathiya Francis, who teaches leadership skills alongside soft skills and digital literacy, and the session stood as a clear expression of FLO’s commitment to building knowledge, confidence, and opportunity for women.
