FLO Chennai, under its Visual Arts Vertical and in collaboration with Happy Brushes, organised a Creative Art Workshop for underprivileged children at Prem Vihar Seva Sadan on 23rd May 2026. The initiative was planned with the intention of bringing joy, creativity, and experiential learning to the children through an engaging hands-on activity.
The workshop centred around hand-painting tote bags, allowing each child to explore their imagination and create a personalised piece of art. The session began with an introduction to colours, painting techniques, and simple design ideas, after which the children enthusiastically started working on their tote bags. The atmosphere throughout the workshop was vibrant, energetic, and filled with excitement as the participants expressed themselves freely through art.
Mrs. Soni Bhattad, conducted the session with great enthusiasm and ensured that every child actively participated and felt encouraged throughout the activity. Her interactive and patient approach helped the children feel comfortable and confident while experimenting with colours, patterns, and designs. Mrs. Kanchan Hemdev extended valuable support in coordinating and facilitating the smooth conduct of the workshop, contributing significantly to the overall success of the initiative.
Beyond the artistic activity, the workshop also served as a platform for emotional expression, confidence building, and joyful interaction. The children experienced a sense of accomplishment as they proudly showcased their completed tote bags at the end of the session.
