Building Bharat – Gaur Gopaldas

FLO Ahmedabad, in association with MY FM 94.3, presented “Building Bharat – The Gujarat Chapter 2026” on 26th August 2026 at Hotel The Leela, Gandhinagar. The evening began at 7:00 PM and was held under the chapter’s Startups Vertical, led by Vertical Heads Piyalee Chattopadhyay and Amy Sonpal, with Usha Jaiswal as Chairperson. The event brought together prominent leaders from the Government of Gujarat, real estate, construction, industrial renewable energy, PwC and FMCG, as well as leading chambers of commerce and industry associations from across Gujarat.

The panel discussion looked at the future of real estate, construction and sustainable development. It highlighted the importance of innovation, responsible growth and collaboration in building a stronger and more sustainable India, and asked how the next generation of entrepreneurs, startup founders and MSME leaders will need to take this forward. Usha Jaiswal brought a strong social-impact perspective to the dialogue.

She spoke about FICCI FLO’s extensive voluntary initiatives for underserved and underprivileged communities, including work in education, skilling, financial literacy, livelihoods, women’s empowerment and sustainable community development for micro-level entrepreneurship and rural startups. She stressed the role of industry-led social initiatives in creating more inclusive growth. The evening also featured renowned motivational speaker Shri Gaur Gopal Das, who shared inspiring perspectives on leadership, work, prosperity and inner well-being.

He encouraged the audience to look beyond professional success towards purpose and balance. A total of 250 people were impacted, including 75 FLO members. Dek & Mavericks Green Energy Limited was the Energy Partner for the event. The event brought together government, industry and social leadership and created a meaningful conversation on building not only a stronger economy, but also a more inclusive and empowered society. It was also an opportunity for FLO members to connect with decision-makers and see how their own work as entrepreneurs fits into India’s wider growth story.
