Empowering MSMEs for Growth and Global Opportunities

FLO Indore, under its MSME & Exports Initiative, organised an interactive knowledge-sharing session in association with the Departments of MSME and DGFT on 3rd September 2026. The programme was designed to provide members with practical information on MSME registration, government schemes, certifications, export processes, and various avenues available for business growth and global market access.

The session brought together senior government officials and industry experts, creating an accessible platform for members to understand government processes and seek guidance on issues relevant to their businesses. Shri Gaurav Goyal, Assistant Director, MSME-Development & Facilitation Office, Indore, shared insights into MSME schemes, government support mechanisms and opportunities available to enterprises. Shri Abhishek Sharma, Joint DGFT, provided practical guidance on export processes, procedures and related requirements, while also touching upon opportunities for accessing international markets.

The programme also featured Shri Pankaj Suryavanshi, Executive Director, Brajvidhya Services Pvt. Ltd., who spoke about Udyam and ZED registrations. His session highlighted the relevance of these registrations for MSMEs and provided participants with greater clarity on the registration and certification process.

A key feature of the programme was the facilitation desk established at the venue, where members could receive assistance with Udyam and ZED registration. This enabled participants to move beyond theoretical understanding and access practical support for completing the registration process.

Key Takeaways

  • Practical understanding of MSME registration, government schemes and support mechanisms available to enterprises.
  • Insights into Udyam Registration and its relevance for MSMEs seeking formal recognition and access to government benefits.
  • Understanding of ZED (Zero Defect Zero Effect) certification, its importance and the registration process.

  • On-the-spot facilitation for Udyam and ZED registrations, supported by a dedicated assistance desk.
  • Direct interaction with senior MSME and DGFT officials, enabling members to clarify individual business and export-related queries.
  • The informal, interactive format encouraged knowledge-sharing, greater awareness and stronger engagement between industry and government.

Impact & Outcome

The interactive format encouraged 25 members to actively participate, raise individual queries, and clarify business-related concerns directly with the speakers. Also, all 250 members of the FLO Indore MSME-Export group were privy to all information shared. The session also emphasised that the knowledge shared could benefit not only business owners and decision-makers but also their family members and teams involved in business operations.

Overall, the programme served as a meaningful bridge between government and industry, enabling FLO members to better understand the MSME and export ecosystem. It provided actionable information on registrations, certifications, government support and export procedures, while encouraging members to explore opportunities that could contribute to business formalisation, compliance, growth and wider market access.
