FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Amulya Rao, in collaboration with iTNT Hub, organised the legal module of the Masterclass Series titled “Founder’s Edge: Everything They Don’t Teach You at Business School” on 19 May 2026 at iTNT Hub, Chennai. Held under the Legal Advocacy Vertical, the session formed part of a structured entrepreneurial development initiative aimed at supporting aspiring entrepreneurs, innovators, and early-stage startups through practical business and legal knowledge.
The legal module focused on Startup Foundations and Business Structuring and addressed key legal aspects relevant to emerging businesses. The session titled “Building on Solid Ground: The Legal Essentials Every Entrepreneur Must Own” was led by Subathra Mylsamy. Participants received practical guidance on selecting appropriate business structures, understanding founder and shareholder agreements, managing startup legal documentation, contracts, taxation, GST compliance, and statutory requirements.
The discussion also highlighted the importance of intellectual property awareness, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents, as well as legal safeguards and risk management strategies for startups. Special emphasis was placed on compliance readiness, governance practices, and the legal preparedness required for scaling businesses and attracting investments or fundraising opportunities.
The interactive session enabled startup founders and entrepreneurs to better understand the importance of building strong legal foundations during the early stages of business growth. The programme concluded with active participant engagement and discussions on the role of legal awareness in creating sustainable and future-ready ventures.
