The Decision Lab – Think Like a Founder. Decide Like a CEO.

The Decision Lab – Think Like a Founder. Decide Like a CEO was an immersive, facilitator-led workshop conducted by the NI AWE – Accelerating Women Entrepreneurs vertical of FLO Bangalore on 5 September 2026. Designed as a high-energy and experiential learning session, the workshop focused on strengthening one of the most important capabilities for entrepreneurs and leaders: the ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty.

Every business is shaped by a series of decisions. While some are routine, others can influence the direction, growth, resilience, and long-term success of an enterprise. Entrepreneurs are often required to make choices with limited information, tight timelines, competing priorities, and no single obvious answer. The Decision Lab was created to help women entrepreneurs navigate such situations with greater clarity, confidence, courage, and strategic awareness.

The session moved beyond a conventional lecture format and brought participants directly into interactive business situations. Through a range of simulations, rapid-choice exercises, practical dilemmas, and reflective activities, participants explored how they think, react, and decide when faced with pressure or ambiguity. Experiences such as The Choice Storm, Founder’s Dilemma, The Fog, CEO Hot Seat, and Values Walk encouraged participants to consider the role of biases, assumptions, fear, uncertainty, personal values, and external pressures in their decision-making process.

Each activity was followed by structured reflection and facilitator-led discussion, enabling participants to connect their experiences to real entrepreneurial contexts. The workshop introduced practical frameworks that supported clearer, faster, and more values-aligned choices. Participants were encouraged to identify their individual decision-making patterns, recognise personal red flags, and reflect on the principles that guide their most difficult business and leadership decisions.

A key outcome of the workshop was the development of a personal Decision Operating System. Using the six principles and six frameworks of decision-making, participants gained a structured approach that they could adapt to their own ventures, teams, and professional challenges. The workshop also emphasised that decision-making is not only about analysis and strategy; it requires the courage to act responsibly, even when outcomes cannot be predicted with complete certainty.

The programme concluded with a meaningful Courage Call, motivating participants to move from insight to action by committing to a decision that mattered to them. With 33 members and beneficiaries participating, The Decision Lab created a focused learning space for women entrepreneurs to strengthen their leadership capability, sharpen their judgement, and make decisions that are purposeful, timely, and aligned with their business vision.
